Colloborators

The South African Medical Research Council (SA MRC) in conjunction with MTN and the University of Stellenbosch will be hosting the 1st Southern African Telemedicine Conference which hopes to bring together researchers, professionals, academics, health practitioners, students, health analysts, etc. working in the discipline of telemedicine. The SA MRC is committed to strengthen the local, national and international capacity in telemedicine skills. This conference is intended to strengthen networking and to provide a skills building exercise.

Stellenbosh University
The Rector of the University of Stellenbosch presented his Overarching Strategic Plan (OSP), grounded in the Pedagogy of Hope. Many projects originated from the OSP, amongst which are (1) Ukwanda Rural Clinical School, an initiative from the Faculty of Health Sciences in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Health (DoH), as well as (2) a telemedicine initiative from the Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with the Medical Research Council.
